The iPhone from the line at least in the City, looks as if it will be immensely popular. The enthusiasm of the crowd should also entice some other non-tech and non-apple folks to at least check it out. Once some bugs are worked out with service providers, well watch out world is all I have to say. For many, they should think of it as a WiFi palm pilot (that is free internet if you have wireless), 8gig video iPod, 2MP camera, and fancy phone with Bluetooth hands free capability in a beautiful, compact, and easy to use combo-thing.
The line almost touched around a Large city block, close. Police had to come and push people off the street that had gathered to view the 6PM opening. Bad day for drivers with critical mass coming from one direction and iPhone madness blocking 2/4 lanes. Kinda awesome to be there even if I didn't end up with a phone, yet!!
